The service features a Universal Inbox where messages, updates and invites from friends are consolidated in one box. Group messaging is also possible on this service.

MIXX, another Social Networking site

Mixx is available on invite only. The site features for users to share Videos, Pictures, create groups and also post your stories. To access features of Mixx, sign up with your email address and you will be notified by the team to access the site.

Nokia's MOSH

Nokia's new service, called MOSH. It stands for Mobilize and Share. The alpha version has been around for a while now and the beta version was released officially recently.

So, what is MOSH all about? It is another social networking site dedicated for mobile devices. You can share and manage digital contents, including images, videos, audio, applications, games and even documents. Basically it is like YouTube, Flickr with additional support to other content types.

http://mosh.nokia.com. The access to this beta version is still restricted. You need to enter password to access it. The password is ALLACCESS. I have no idea why it is still password-protected since many people know it already.

ORKUT with the new look

The popular social networking site ORKUT will release its new interface soon. The service over the years has introduced better user experience to access and utilize their website at its best potential. The users can now post pictures and videos and not just text scrap. The users in America have a tab called Friend's map" and enhances user experience by giving them the ability to search for friends based on area they are based out of. We could also see a blogging option from ORKUT.

The future of Web Culture, Technology and Trends

The year 2006 gave way for tremendous growth in Social Networking and popularity of RSS feed. We can call it Web2.0 or whatever term that describes it well as per industry standards.

I feel RSS feeds will hook a large number of users over the web and we could also see a lot more of AJAX powered web applications to support the flow of this form of data structure. Structured Data, Widgets, RIA, SEO and Online Advertising are going to be the turn around of the future of World Wide Web. Will Firefox come up with something to beat the barriers of browser competition? We will have to wait and see.

Google, lam sure will have something up their sleeves for the year 2008, With their Google Base service online, we should expect good response from users for their intense and extensive search capabilities of various Products and Services, based on user specific filter criteria.

We would see a lot more than the above and need to wait it out and also see if Amazon is coming up their Amazon Web Services based OS or will Google ADsense have competition or will there be another form of Search Engine or have more powerful browsers integrated with every possible feature/widget that a user could dream of.
